seek freedom and become captive of your desires
Have you ever walked through the mind of a believer?
You can, for they are all around you – waiting for the Word of God to fall upon
their expectant ears. And the word is always the same. Death.
Since the dawn of civilisation, faith and humanity have walked hand in hand,
and I have walked with them. Men contrived their gods and worshipped them
without question, fought wars around idols in hope of eventual salvation. They
follow their religions like docile sheep, caring nothing for the power within their
reach but satisfying themselves with lesser dreams like the insects that they
are. Blinkered by their devotion in gods who only show them mere glimpses of
the truth, whereas I have broken the gates.
Over time, I have learned the greatest truth of them all, and that truth is freedom.
The freedom to believe and disbelieve at will; the kind of freedom that would
surely make any person equal to those gods. That is what I am offering to you:
freedom. Freedom to know. To learn. Freedom from dross and falsehoods and
constraints imposed by the fools over millennia who are little less than sheep,
blundering through the brief allotments of their lives to the end of all. It is too
terrifying for them; no boundaries, no simple answers, and in the end they will
be no happier than where they already stand.
As for you... the only question that remains is whether or not you wish to seize
that freedom. Whether you are strong enough?
