[/ul]GENERAL PERSONALITY|| Gabrielle was brought up in a family who adored her, with a father who bought her whatever she wanted. She was told that she was beautiful, and that she deserved everything. After hearing this repeatedly throughout her entire life, it became ingrained in her. She is vain, a snob, and very stuck up. She expects thing to be done for her, and she expects to be able to do whatever she wants. She spends most of her time making sure she looks great, and thinks ugly people are a waste of time.
She is an attention whore. She likes going out in public and watching how all the guys look at her. It's one of the highlights of her day. Whenever someone is brave enough to approach her, she laughs at their face and shuts them down. It's amusing to her that they think they actually have a chance. Occasionally however, someone manages to catch her eye. In that case, she gives the 'come hither' look and they almost always obey. She isn't one for one night stands, but usually those relationships only last a few weeks, if that long.
Ever since her parents were killed in the French purge, Gabby has started to lose it. She doesn't let it show that she is affected, but she has become desperate. The Fortescue's took her in, but she knows how precarious her position is. If somehow the wedding is called off, Gabby isn't sure what she could do. She has her family's inheritance, but that is all. She would have to move out of Château Fortescue and find her own place to live. It's a lot of pressure, and it is getting to her. She has taken to keeping a very close eye on Bastien. She knows about his interest in Mia, which is why Gabby hates the female. She has a lot of anger pent up, at herself and at Mia. She had never felt the strain of losing everything that mattered to her, and it makes her even more of an ass to people. Especially humans. Her dislike for them turned into a hatred because of what they did to her parents.

OTHER FAMILY|| Betrothal's parents:
Armel Cyrano Fortescue, 55.
Fiona Marie Fortescue,50
SPOUSE|| Betrothed to Sebastian Etienne Fortescue, 17
CHILDREN|| None
HISTORY|| Adèle was born into a family that already had three daughters. Though they never showed it, she knew that she was a disappointment to them. They had wanted a son. The only reason she knew this was because of their reaction when the next child they had was a boy. She was only four years old at the time, but she could see how they adored him. She was practically ignored by her parents. They took care of her and they played with her, and to the outside world it looked like they loved her. She knew differently. She could see it in their eyes. They went through the motions and acted like she was special, but it was a facade. Her sisters were older, and the closest sibling had been fifteen when Adèle was born. They saw it too, and they tried their best to make her feel loved. It only helped her a little.
When Adèle met the vampire she was betrothed to, she fell in love. He was handsome and gentleman-like. He had a genuine smile that made her heart flutter every time she saw it. All of her expectations of him being a snot-faced jerk just melted away. He was kind and he thought she was beautiful. It was just what she needed to grow out of her parents. They had made her bitter to the world and she had constructed a warped view of vampire men. He fixed it. The night that she came of age, Gilles Henri Delacroux sunk his fangs into her and truly turned her into a vampire. Their arranged marriage turned out to be the perfect match. They had one daughter, and named her Gabrielle. Not wanting her daughter to face the same thing he did, Adèle spoiled Gabby as much as she could, and gave her everything she felt a daughter should from her parents.
The most devastating day in Gabrielle's life was the day of the French purge. Things had been going well between the vampire and the humans, or so the vampires thought. They had become too comfortable with the humans, and thought too much of them. One night, the humans formed an angry mob and attacked the vampires when they least expected it. Gabby was sitting in her room, eating chocolate covered strawberries, nd waiting for Sebastian to come meet with her when she heard a window in the floor below her shatter. Then a scream that sounded all too much like her mother. Suddenly very afraid, Gabby slipped off of her bed and went to her window. Outside she could see hundreds of humans, and could hear them chanting. Then, a loud bang, and footsteps could be heard pounding on the hardwood floors of their entrance room.
Really freaked out, Gabrielle ran into the hallway and yelled for her father. He didn't answer her, but she could hear him screaming from downstairs. Gabby rushed to the railing and looked over to see her father fighting off humans. They had stakes in their hands. There was no sign of her mother until she charged into the room to help her husband. Gabby was too frozen with shock and fear to do anything but watch. And she did. She watched as a man thrust a steak through her heart, and she floated gracefully to the floor. And she watched as her father, enraged and empowered by the death of his wife, took out another fifteen humans before he too was staked. Everything seemed to go quite then, and as one teenage boy that Gabby went to school with looked up and saw her, she regained the movement of her body.
Their eyes met, and he barely hesitated before pointing at her and screaming again. Gabby ran as fast as she could to her room, and grabbed the bags at the foot of her bed that she had packed for a trip with Bastian. Frantic, Gabby did the only thing she could think of. She dove out of the second story window. It twisted her ankle and ripped her blue and gray dress, but paid no attention. All she could think about was what she witnessed, and making sure that the awful humans wouldn't get her too. She ran as far from her house as she could, not even knowing in what direction. And then, suddenly and unbelievably, she crossed paths with the Fortescue's as they fled. Without even speaking, they accepted her into their group and she escaped France.
Now, she is living with the Fortescue's in the Carpathians. She knows that she is treading on very dangerous grounds. She also knows that Bastian doesn't care for her, nor she for him, and that he does care for Mia. That could very much uproot Gabby again. She would be left with no one. If Bastian can get the wedding called off to be with Mia, Gabby would be forced to be on her own. She had no doubt that the Fortescue's would kick her out. They would have no reason to be responsible for her. So Gabby is right now trying her hardest to keep Bastian and Mia apart and secure her future as vampire royalty.

Listening to the crunching and crackling of leaves was what Aimy had been doing for the past hour. She had arrived at WCAM today, but couldn't work up the courage to go inside. It wasn't that she was scared, she just did not want to have to do it. She didn't want to have to face the reality of going to another school. Aimy had been home schooled with all of the other orphans in the orphanage over in London. She had been okay there, as she was okay with anywhere, but then she got her first letter. It came as a shock to her, and she guarded that letter with her whole life.
She still had it, to this day, kept in a small box buried underneath her belongings. Inside this little box were a few, seemingly valueless things. If someone were to find it, they'd see a box of junk, but each item held something precious and dear to her. The letter was the first of her collections, and over the course of traveling with her adopted family, she found a few keepsakes. Her foster parents were nice to her, and they were magic, so she didn't have to hide anything, but she didn't care for them. She doesn't care for anyone really.
That's what happens when a child grows up without a loving family, sometimes they lose their ability to love. Well at least, that is what she told herself. She didn't think she'd ever be able to find a person she actually cared for. Everyone she's ever met just held a mutual dislike, or disinterest. Whenever she is around people, it depresses her. As if it is a reminder of how broken she is because she can't feel for them. That is the biggest reason she tries to stay away from most humans. Normally, when a person doesn't like people, they like animals. That is not the case with Aimy though, she doesn't mind them, but takes no interest in them. On bad days, they actually get her flustered during Care of Magical Creatures, because she just can't work with them right.
A faint sound of growling sounded next to her, bringing her hair on end. Her feet halted where they were, and her eyes grew wide at the sound. Though she didn't have much animal experience, she knew growling was not good. After a few, terribly suspenseful moments, the growling instantly stopped, and the sound of an animal whelping filled it's place. She found the willpower to turn her head toward the sound when it finally slowed up, and all she saw was a gray tail, and she didn't even want to imagine what the body was that went with it. She did not move for another minute or so, just making sure that the animal was gone, and slowly but surely she started to relax again. Ruddy animals... she thought to herself bitterly, and kept walking farther up the mountainside.
Her plan was to get to the top, and turn around to look at the view. She was hoping and expecting a beautiful one, and if she didn't get it, she would be slightly upset. With another thirty minutes of basically uneventful walking, She finally took the last few steps to the top. But the scene before her stopped her in awe. There was a prairie, and a huge mansion a little ways away. She didn't even want to turn around to face the forest she traveled through anymore, for this was much more satisfying. She made up her mind about what she was going to do next, and that was walking down to the mansion. It looked ancient, and Aimy found herself falling in love with it already. She always did have a soft spot for antiques and old-fashioned things.
