Ever since the fall of Team Dim Sun, the world has been relatively peaceful, until a hurricane swept across a small, ocean-dwelling town. The town was mostly wiped away, but everyone survived. However, now Pokemon have started to go missing. There is rumor of a man who found a large stone washed up on the shore after the hurricane. After he found the stone, he declared himself king of the town, and began enslaving Pokemon to assist him in his quest.
The stone itself is that of folklore. Only elders remember hearing of a stone that could bring about great and evil power in mankind: The Stone of Destiny. However, the destiny that comes from the stone is that of the wielders choice. It is a slow process, but eventually the wielders sought destiny would become true. The stone had been sealed away centuries ago by the Pokemon Kyogre, where it was thought to be safe from travelers and explorers.
There are said to be two more of these legendary stones: The Stone of Dreams, and The Stone of Time. The Stone of Dreams allows anything the wielder dreams to become a reality, while the Stone of Time allows the wielder to travel through time at will. These two stones were also sealed away by Pokemon long ago in hopes that they would never be discovered by mankind. If all three stones are found and brought together by the same person, legend says that the present and the course of the future will be drastically altered to fit the wielder's wishes, whether they are for good or for evil.
